TEDxGdynia

In Polish language “gatunek” means – species, variety, type, brand, quality, kind … - it is very open to interpretation and very abstract. It leaves the great space for wide range of topics and speakers.
The dialogue is one of the crucial aspects of communication between species (and not only human being)
The dialogue can be seen and practised in diverse range:
- In life in general
- In science
- In society
- In culture
- In business
So the communication and the dialogue between species can build web connections and bridges to innovate and to create ideas that are worth to be spread around the world and the TEDxers.

Elvin Flamingo

Contemporary Artist

Elvin Flamingo (dr Jarosław Czarnecki) was born in 1967 in Pelplin. From 1987 to 1991, he was a student in the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts as the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (currently the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) in Gdańsk). From 2011 to 2014, he was a doctoral student in the Workshop of Transdisciplinary Work in the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia, at ASP Gdańsk. From 2012, he has lectured in this faculty. The Symbiosity of Creation is his doctoral dissertation. In 2015, he won the Critics and Editors of Art Magazines Award at the WRO Media Art Biennale.
