Students, teachers, and community members are all invited to attend the third annual TEDxPaloAltoHighSchool, an independently organized TED speaker conference. The two-session event will feature ten captivating adult and student speakers based on the theme "Think Again," a lunch invitation, and a local choir group performance. It's a conference you don't want to miss!

Alexandra Dinu

Student
As an avid member of the arts, Alexandra Dinu explores the benefits of theatre as personally experienced in speech clubs, theater classes, and productions.

Alicia Chang

Instructional Designer at Google
Alicia Chang, Ph.D., is an Instructional Designer at Google. As a cognitive and developmental psychologist, Alicia has performed research ranging on the influences of language and culture on young children’s word learning to mathematical understanding, as well as cognitive science applications to curriculum design and instruction in STEM education. She is an author of multiple research papers in her field, and was also a co-author of Moonshots in Education by Esther Wojcicki and Lance Izumi. She is a graduate of Boston University and the University of California, Los Angeles.

Claire Eberhart

Student
As an avid reader and writer since elementary school, Claire often finds herself taking refuge in a book or journal. Winner of spoken poetry competitions and founder of the renowned Point B Poetry Jam, Claire extends her love for poetry far beyond paper and works hard to encourage others to join her.

Darrow Hornik

Student
As a long-time advocate for human rights and social justice, high school student Darrow Hornik is an active member of both Best Buddies and Bring Change to Mind club. Darrow's TED talk focuses on the gripping story of her own life.

David Landau

Founder of Opti
David Landau is building Opti, his 8th startup, to fix inefficiencies in the global education system. He studies the most scalable ways to achieve peak experience and maximum personal and professional growth through neuroscience, biohacking and exponential technology. As a lifelong coach, meditator and artist, David also helps others integrate spiritual and deep, meaningful experiences into their lives.

Donnovan Yisrael

Manager of Emotional and Sexual Health Programs at Stanford's Vaden Health Center
Donnovan is the Manager of Emotional & Sexual Health Programs with I Thrive at Stanford's Vaden Health Center. Through interactive course lectures and workshops in the residences, Donnovan introduces students to the practices that lead to healing, health and happiness.

Nicholas Padmanabhan

Student
Nicholas Padmanabhan has played classical guitar for nine years, frequently performing in both formal concert venues and community outreaches. He performed on National Public Radio music program, Junior Bach Festival, and the Bear Valley Music Festival, and won awards at the Sierra Nevada Guitar Competition and Pacific Musical Society Competition. Nicholas is also a student of Scott Cmiel at the Pre-College division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studies music theory and chamber music.

Rachel Kellerman

Educator and teacher librarian
Rachel received a BA in Psychology from UCLA and a Masters in Developmental Education from the University of California Berkeley. Rounding off her public school education, she received a Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State. She is a proud Paly Viking and can often be found reading both comfortable and uncomfortable books, blogs, news, and just about anything else that pops up on her screen or bookshelf.

Tiffany Liang

Student
As a sister of someone with autism, Tiffany was inspired to learn more about the disease by working on two respective autism studies as a psychiatry intern at Stanford and UCSF. Tiffany also spends her time as the co-captain of the Palo Alto High School Varsity Cheerleading team and as a staff writer for The Campanile.
