This January in Târgu Mureș, TEDx is celebrating the emergence of #innovation, technology and creativity. A full day of live speakers and engaging workshops!

HOW TO SPOT A CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST SPEAKER?

Good question, well put. The truth is, they are still rather exotic creatures – missionaries, strangers in a curious land, but we’ve got some excellent #speakers and trainers lined up for the next event. All of the four speakers of our Salon will attempt to present what happens when #creativity meets #technology !

Moderator: Ovidiu Oltean

For the first time this year, we are taking over the Grand Hotel on the 23rd of January to spread ideas, share thoughts… we have something #inspirational to express and isn’t it great that we’re sharing it all with you?!

She studied theatre directing in college and won first prize at the Inspired-Dramaturgy national playwright competition in 2009. At 21 she started drawing and started working in animation on the web series Luzarii de pe Electrolizei. Marius Grama

3D Printing Enthusiast
Marius Grama, the founder of 3D Creativity, has one big passion - 3D printing and 3D scanning. And the limit in 3D printing is the sky. This is the whole idea, that until 2020-2025 every person should own a 3D printer, so there will be no need to go to the store for the products, but everyone could create its own thing just by simply downloading a "mold" from the Internet. And imagine the amount of recycling and reuse... "Ladies, what if you could print the much desired shoe model, any model you want, and even accessorize it?" This is how much freedom the materials allow lately - most small statues are made out of ABS and PLA, but there are already materials that have glass like characteristics, others are flexible and others look like canvas. It is a whole universe of creativity in a little box. What if we told you, that with the 3D printing techniques, it is possible to scan and reproduce artifacts, like ancient vases and other utensils.

Peter Szabo

Soloist
To describe Péter Szabó as handyman, gadgeteer, man-of-all-work is not enough, but in lack of any other expression we have to settle for these expressions. Profession: soloist at the Cluj-Napoca Hungarian Opera. Long story short: an opera soloist who built and carved a wooden car – that is an amazing story! And, there is more to the story, as a few years ago he tried to save an entire village from “apocalypse”. Adding all these together, there is enough reason to get to know Péter Szabó more closely. He lives nearby Targu Mures, in Corunca, in a home he designed and built. Péter Szabó, was born in Targu Mures. He graduated school in his home town, he founded a family here. And as long as he is not captured by singing, he works here as a carpenter (more precisely, in Corunca). He was employed by several local businesses, where he helped designing all sorts of gatgets made out od wood, iron, plastic.
