In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Becca is a 10th grader at Seoul Foreign School.

Cara Chang

Cara is an eighth grader at SFMS who has passion for writing and “discovering.” Cara wrote her first novel, Morphitai, at 12, and her poetry, short stories and essays have won her multiple Scholastic Art & Writing Award keys. For Cara, discoveries range from devouring a thrilling new science fiction series to finding out her dog is locked inside her closet; uncovering others’ passions brings joy to Cara as she believes that each of us is uniquely brilliant.

Ina Kim

Student, aspiring artist
Ina Kim is an aspiring illustrator and a sophomore in Seoul Foreign High School. She is currently working through her school IGCSE art curriculum, developing her technique and creativity. Always making videos and drawing; Ina is also working on her skills with animation and storytelling, and hopes to get a webcomic out before she graduates high school. Know- ing her, she is probably drawing somewhere right now.

Juhnun Oh

Alumni
Juhnun Oh, an SFMS alumni, is a graduate with honors of the Northeastern University’s Leadership psychology Bachelors of Science program and also holds an Associate’s Degree in Theater arts from Algonquin College and Digital Media at the Arts Institute of Vancouver. Today, Juhnun is a freelance voice over actor, story teller, and sculptor by night, but a part-time teacher in the day time as he settles down with his beloved and supportive wife KyungA Jang and two young sons in Seoul, Korea.

Nam Cho

HR Director at Qualcomm, parent
Nam Cho is the father of SFS students Anna and Brandon Cho. He has worked several years at Qualcomm as an HR Director, working in global learning and organizational development etc. He has his masters in Organizational Behaviour and Bachelors in Psychology. Born in Korea, Nam has spent half of his life in Korea and the other half living in the states and in China.

Sarah Hahm

Student
Sarah Hahm is a current senior at Seoul Foreign High School. Since moving to Seoul five years ago, Sarah has dedicated her life to her artistic crafts and working with people. She is a classically trained musician who plans on using her experiences to work in foster care, adoption, and urban development, focusing on changing the law to create security and opportunity for under-privileged and at-risk youth.

Sol Kim

Student
Sol Kim is a 14 year old freshman at SFS and the recipient of multiple Scholastic writing awards. She has lived in Korea for six years after living in New York, Hong Kong and Canada. Writing is a way for her to express her emotions and experiences as a teenager in Korea. She hopes that through her amalgamation of her experiences and emotions in Korea, she will be able to change the perspectives of the guests today.

Stuart Kent

SFHS Principal
Mr Kent is the current HS principal at Seoul Foreign School. He has taught on 4 continents in a career spanning almost twenty years. This is his 8th year at SFS and his second as the HS Principal. Born in Australia and raised in Australia and The Netherlands Mr Kent was always attracted to international living. Mr Kent is a History teacher by trade and also enjoys coaching forensics. Mr Kent is a dad to three fantastic kids, Grace, Sophie, and Jack and is married to Sheree Kent.
