Aileen Tang
Student
Aileen Tang is a junior at Dougherty Valley High School with a fascination for psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. She has a passion for analyzing the “whys” of human behavior, constantly observing patterns of motivation and thought to further her understanding of the human psyche. She spends a large amount of her time researching behavior and psychological patterns, as well as utilizing the Myer-Briggs Typology theory to type and further understand people.
Anwesa Goswami
Student
Anwesa Goswami is currently a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School. Her favorite subjects include math and science, and she is hoping to pursue a field in STEM. She also enjoys speaking and writing, and is part of the speech and debate club at her school. Anwesa currently lives in San Ramon with her parents, sister, and pet guinea pig.

Jennifer Choi
Student
Jennifer Choi is a sophomore attending Dougherty Valley High School. She is very passionate about volunteering and hopes to build a stronger community by being part of Site Council and leadership conferences. She is the president of VIP Campaign club, a club that encourages everyone to have a stronger mentality by promoting the message that everyone can overcome obstacles. Outside of volunteering and academics, she loves to watch movies and spend time with family and friends. She is very enthusiastic when talking about the things she loves or is interested in.

Moksh Jawa is a junior at Washington High School in Fremont, CA. Moksh has been studying Computer Science for about five years now. He is extremely passionate about computer science education and has designed a program that makes this education easily accessible to the entire world.
Nick Sawhney

Nick Sawhney is a senior in High School. He has interests in Political Science, Psychology, and public speaking and debating. He began high school as an unconfident student, but eventually realized the power of discipline and determination. Since, he has learned of approaches to education and life which make sure that everyone understands that talent isn’t something people are born with, but rather something that they earn.

Ryan Chan is a senior at Dougherty Valley High school. Ryan is involved in many extracurricular activities such as Band, Choir, Drama, and Art. Ryan loves to work with other students, and tries to expand his comfort zone constantly. Ryan hopes to study business and work on an international scale to benefit the world.
Samantha MacIlwaine
Student
Samantha MacIlwaine is a teenage public speaker in with a passion for codebreaking. She is a National Finalist in Public Forum debate, an Arthur N. Rupe Scholar, and captain of her high school debate team. Samantha has studied handwritten ciphers at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and digital ciphers at the Cyber Technologies Academy at Sandia National Laboratories. As a teaching assistant for the latter, she helped instruct Bay Area high school students in ethical hacking. Samantha first became interested in ambigrams when she discovered the work of graphic designer John Langdon. Through practice, she hopes to someday match the beauty of his work in her own creations. Samantha is currently a high school senior in San Ramon, California.
Yajushi Mattegunta

Yajushi Mattegunta is currently a senior in high school, with an interest in STEM as well as how society thinks and functions to generate norms and stereotypes. She believes that this is applicable to everyone, since it influences how people deal with social pressures in their pursuit for success. Yajushi is a Speech and Debate competitor and captain, and hopes to use her public speaking skills to persuade people to collectively change societal mindsets that pigeonhole individuals into a set path. In her free time, Yajushi loves to read, write, try new types of music, and make jewelry.
Yukta Rakesh

Yukta Rakesh is a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, California. Yukta was born in California. After residing in the US for a couple years, at the age of 3 she relocated to India. Then again, at the age of 8, she moved back to California. Growing up in such a multicultural environment has helped her keep a broader outlook while looking from different perspectives. Yukta hold several leadership positions at her high school. She is part of high school leadership team and yearbook. She is also an officer for DVHS California scholarship federation board and Director of written events for DVHS DECA. DECA is a club that promotes business and entrepreneurship skills in students. Yukta lives with her parents in San Ramon, enjoying her high school life and preparing for future.
