TEDxWomen is coming to Lausanne!

We will have several inspiring local speakers in addition to the live streaming of TEDWomen, that will happen in Monterey, CA at the same time. Our event will be followed by an aperitif, allowing guests to network in an iconic Lausanne venue. Come and get inspired by women changemakers!

Jackie Cruz

Jackie Cruz is the star of Netflix’s No.1 rated series Orange Is The New Black. She has been singing and acting her whole life, and had entertained thousands with her unique sound, and artistic skills.

Marie Parvex

Marie Parvex raconte comment elle a commencé à faire du travail de journalisme d'investigation et comment elle a ensuite compris l'utilité du journalisme de données pour démonter de façon objective les réseaux sous-jacents à beaucoup d'"affaires". Marie Parvex est journaliste au journal Suisse Le Temps. Elle a reçu en novembre 2014 le prestigieux Prix Jean Dumour pour rôle éminent dans la révélation au grand public de plusieurs affaires valaisannes, telles que le dossier Giroud ou celui de la pollution du sol au mercure. Marie Parvex is an investigative journalist for the Swiss newspaper Le Temps. She recieved the Prix Jean Dumur in November 2014, for her reporting on major controversial topics covered in the canton of Valais (Giroud files and Mercury pollution). She has been awarded with this prize in recognition of her courage and perseverance in finding the truth, as well as for her unique writing style.

Saadia Zahidi

Saadia Zahidi leads the World Economic Forum’s work on Gender Parity. Her work aims to benchmark gender gaps, collect best practices and bring together senior business and government leaders to devise and implement change. She also leads the Forum’s practice on Employment. Saadia was selected as one of BBC's 100 Women in 2013 and 2014 and is currently working on her book "Womenomics in the Muslim World", a deeply personal project exploring the transformative power of 800 million women.

Sinikka Vuoti

Sinikka Vuoti is a strength, movement and physical injury recovery coach. Since ten years she is practicing various movement and alignment strategies reconnecting people's bodies and brains. She has her own studio, the Room Studio, in Lausanne where she practices among others Method Putkisto, a method that enables even chronic pain sufferers to achieve improvement of the body movement.

Vanessa Erogbogbo

Vanessa Erogbogbo is the head of the Women and Trade Programme at the International Trade Centre. Drawing on her rich experience of working with entrepreneurs around the world, she will share with you her insights into what it takes to enter the global economy, and why this matters.
