In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Deborah Stence

Of all the terms to depict Deborah Stence, "experienced" will quickly come to my mind. Being around the world of literature and society as a bookkeeper, waitress, bartender, community organizer and office manager, she did all of this as a single parent regularly beneath the comforts of the middle class before becoming an expert of the Renaissances to recover to the middle class. Her education found her at nine colleges and universities including Charter Oak State, Western and Eastern Connecticut State Universities and Ashland University, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts to begin her memoirs: "Follow Every Sorrow to its Song." She has taught at Danbury High School and Naugatuck Community College for 24 years.

Tom Agnes

Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Sciences, a Master of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in United States History, Tom Agnes had spent 24 years within the moving and storage industry, 22 of which were spent at Bolliger International Inc. Leaving that corporation as the Vice President and co-owner, Tom took up a career in teaching, and chose Danbury High School as his venue, where he has taught most popularly AP Macroeconomics and other courses for 14 years. Despite his successes elsewhere, “Working with students has been the most rewarding experience of my life.”
