Theme: Evolution

Evolution is the term used to explain how Ideas, people, inventions, organizations, and our society all change over time. This TEDxYouth conference will focus on this theme as it relates to a variety of topics in our world.

Ana-Laura Galindo

Ana-Laura is a seventh grader at Mount Olive Middle School who defines beauty as having a "pretty mind, heart, and soul". She also hopes to become a professional baker, dancer, and choreographer. So, culinary art and dance are both passions she wants to pursue.

Anirudh Ramesh

Anirudh is an eighth grade student at Mount Olive Middle School who loves to play the piano and wants to someday go to Africa to help with humanitarian efforts.

David Eisenberg

Mr. Eisenberg is the media specialist at Mount Olive Middle School. He is also an avid technophile who helps students develop apps and use green-screen technology to enhance the school programs.

Dhruv Raghuraman

Dhruv is a fourth grader at Mountain View Elementary School who wants to be either a chemist or physicist. He dreams of one day inventing spray-on pixelated walls so that multimedia screens can cover everything.

Isabella Foley

Isabella is in the seventh grade at Mount Olive Middle School. She hopes to one dayh be a designer and her favorite quote is from Taylor Swift, "If you are lucky enough to be different, don't ever change!"

Joseph Ferrugio

Joseph is a seventh grader at Mount Olive Middle School who is also an accomplished musician. He specializes in the trumpet and dreams of eventually becoming a video game designer.

Laura Kieselbach

Laura Kieselbach is a language arts teacher at Mount Olive Middle School. She is currently pursuing her doctorate and has found a passion in introducing students to new voices and perspectives through literature.

Melissa Barrow

Melissa is a senior at Mount Olive High School and an accomplished dancer.

Nithilan Valan

Nithilan is a fifth grade student from Mountain View Elementary School in Mount Olive, NJ. As the ultimate multi-taskere, he dreams of someday inventing a "Food Feeder" that allows you to eat at the same time that you are doing almost any other activity. Also, he wants to either become a pilot or computer programmer when he gets older.

Olivia Walker

Olivia is a fourth grader at Chester M. Stephens Elementary School who one day aspires to be an astronaut, veterinary, or scientist. She also loves to dance and has some "sick hip-hop moves".

Rebecca Bushby

Ms. Bushby is the high school media specialist at Mount Olive High School and she works to bring the arts, music, and collaboration to the experiences of her students.

Tracey Severns

Dr. Severns is an accomplished speaker who has served as an award winning principal, superintendent of schools, and as the Chief Academic Officer for the New Jersey Department of Education. Education and personal development are just two of her passions. She also loves adventure including flying on the trapeze, motorcycle riding, and traveling internationally.

Vedad Mulaibrahimovic

Vedad is a senior at Mount Olive High School who plans on being an oncologist surgeon after medical school. He hopes to one day make cancer treatments less expensive for those that are ill.
