In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Daniel Lewis

CEO of Ravel Law
Daniel Lewis is the CEO and co-founder of Ravel Law, a legal research, analytics, and visualization company. Daniel holds a JD from Stanford and a BA from Johns Hopkins. His past experience includes work with the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, DC; Cooley, LLP; Passport Capital; the Natural Resources Defense Council; and United States Senator Barbara Boxer. Forbes named Daniel to their under 30 in Law & Policy in 2015.

Katya Lavine

Katya graduated from UCLA in 2014 with a degree in English and creative writing. She is interested in the way storytelling, technology, and patient advocacy can lead to better healthcare outcomes around the world.

Misha Chellam

Founder of Tradecraft
Since graduating from AMHS in 2000, Misha has launched a rock band, a commercial real estate company, a startup accelerator program, a medtech startup, a sports league, and a modern apprenticeship program. He’s particularly interested in how technology will shape work over the coming decades.

Nate Levine

Co-Founder, OpenGov
Named to the 2014 Forbes “30 Under 30” list, OpenGov Co-founder Nate Levine is a decorated researcher and government transparency thought leader. Serving as Director of Strategic Accounts, Nate has helped grow OpenGov to nearly 500 customers in 43 states. Prior to OpenGov, Nate co-founded and served as President of California Common Sense (CCS), a non-profit thinktank dedicated to opening government to the public, developing data-driven policy analysis, and educating citizens about how their governments work. At CCS Levine established California’s first-ever data transparency portal and built a brand of research excellence. Nate studied engineering at Stanford University where he also worked for the Political Science Department researching and analyzing militarized conflicts. A Bay Area native, Nate has also been active in his community and served as a cadet commander for the local police department.
