Join us at our inaugural TEDx event! To celebrate National Library Week, let’s TED Talk about books, libraries and stuff. Traditionally, libraries have been institutions where you go for books and information. Today, libraries not only offer traditional ideals but offer unlimited possibilities to make information or to gain knowledge through different channels. If we think of a library as a place where collections of items are housed and organized, who is to say that library collections solely have to be books or printed materials. What about a library of imagination or a library of websites? Books are well-loved and sometimes don’t last forever. As we become a society conscientious of recycling, books have become part of that conversation. Books can be recycled through sharing, but books can also be recycled into works of art. Be a part of TEDxSunnyvalePublicLibrary where you will see and hear about the Free Digital Library, the Library of Human Imagination and how books can be reborn into art. All for free! Limited to 100 attendees.
