In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Tejas was born in India but grew up in Dubai where while in high school he discovered his passion for the arts. He briefly freelanced in video production while also learning the art of songwriting. After relocating to Pune, an opportunity to intern with Radio One soon converted itself into a full time job as a Radio jockey and producer for the next two years as he slowly built a reputation for himself. He finally left to pursue his Masters in Mass Communication after which he continued his foray in the world media, this time working at a digital agency Glitch where he wrote and directed several digital ads and web campaigns for the likes of HUL, UTV Bindaas and MTV.
