This year we invite dreamers, thinkers and doers to join us in the conversation about Shift and Transformation. Transformation is the act, process, or instance of transforming or being transformed. The 21st century has witnessed a revolution in the different aspects of daily life, all brought about by the quite extraordinary developments that have occurred in education, business, marketing, engineering, architecture, psychology, health care, sciences, and indeed in communication technologies.
This is not to deny personal and several nations’ transformations at different levels. Your questions will be answered or you will form new ones that will lead to new Shift and Transformation on personal, social, academic, and several professional levels.

Adib Mufty is a Film & TV director, visual conceptualizer, a photographer, and an online media artist. Being born and raised in Lebanon, a land filled with culture, struggle, and diversity, he decided to show the world his country from his own perspective, rebelling against all preconceived notions, perceptions, and mass media propaganda. From his passion of riding motorbikes and still photography, comes #RideWithMe, a one of a kind experience showcasing the natural beauty that is Lebanon.

Eli Ghazel

Education Consultant and Teacher Trainer

He holds an MA in (Language&Literacy, University of Sheffield) has been creating and delivering training in education in the Gulf, Middle East, UK, and USA for nearly 25 years. Eli is now directing and managing the teacher training of elementary and high school English teachers for public schools in the UAE and Saudi Arabia for McGraw-Hill Publishers. Over the past three years, Eli has authored six ELT textbooks for KSA high school students, trained over 1600 public school teachers in the UAE, and has written four ELT course books for adult students for the Curriculum Department, UAE Ministry of Education. Eli has given talks at TESOL, Florida Foreign Language Association in Florida and Harvard University. He was also a featured and keynote speaker at a number of TESOL Arabia events. More recently, he was the keynote speaker at 21st Century Academic Conference held in Berkeley,UCLA. He provides curriculum development, teacher professional developmen, & TESOL/TEFLcertification

Khouloud Al Khatib

Dr. Khouloud Al Khatib is a researcher, university instructor,and lawyer. She is a PhD holder in International Law with emphasis on human rights.She holds two master degrees in Private Law and Public Law, with a BA in Law. In addition, she holds a diploma degree in Diplomatic Relations from Cairo Center for Training and Arbitration and the Arab League of Nations. Dr. Khouloud fulfilled a research study in Comparative religion studies with ADYAN Foundation. She is a lawyer registered in the Association of Bar, Beirut, and a member in the Commission of Basic Freedoms and Human rights at the Association. She is in charge of human rights education at the university, and teaches courses related to public international law and international humanitarian laws. She s the executive director for the human rights center at the Lebanese International University, Secretary General and co-founder for LOUDER (The Lebanese Organization for Unity and Defending Equal Rights)

Marianne Bitar Karam

As Country Director for DOT Lebanon, Marianne is responsible for the delivery of economic and social programs in Lebanon. She is a member of DOT's Middle East management team with colleagues from Egypt and Jordan. Marianne has extensive experience in NGO Management and relief and development project implementation, and she is an expert in issues surrounding refugee communities in Lebanon. Throughout her tenure at World Vision, Marianne built an impressive network of Lebanese and International civil society that served her coordination, partnership and fundraising duties. Marianne holds a BE in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, a Master's in Food Science from McGill University in Canada, and an MBA from Saint Joseph University/Paris Dauphine, in Lebanon which included a CSR component.
