In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

In a saturated coffee market, Ghambari has been extremely successful at growing his business over the last 25 years to 10 locations around the Northwest region. Cherry Street Coffee is home to the current international barista champion and his business serves thousands of customers everyday.

Bryan Seely

Bryan Seely has garnered a great deal of national attention in the last year. He recognized there were some critical problems with the websites we use most often. He learned that not only is our personal security threatened, but so is our national security. To prove his point, Seely hacked the Secret Service and the FBI last year, and then turned himself in to alert authorities to the problem. He'll tell you what you can do about it in his very entertaining talk.

His experiences have brought him important insights about service. He's here to challenge us to volunteer differently.

Rachel Terrill is currently writing a book about her research on loving relationships among pro-football players and their wives. Her work centers around what distinguishes happy couples and successful marriages. She's here to shift our way of thinking about the stories we tell about our relationships.

Tracie Delgado

Dr. Traci Delgado has been the first researcher to publish a new way of thinking about how doctors fight difficult viruses. Her work has gained national attention and she's currently exploring drug therapies through national grants. She is part of a group of cutting edge scientists who are helping us shift the way that we fight viruses and cancer. Her work may lead to new forms of treatments in the next few years.
