Andy Wible

Business and Biomedical Ethics
Dr. Andy Wible is an instructor of philosophy and is currently chair of the Arts and Humanities Department at Muskegon Community College. Andy received his Ph.D. from Wayne State University. He writes and teaches mainly in business and biomedical ethics, and LGBTQ issues, and is active in his community.

Cindy Larsen

Economic Development
Cindy Larsen is President of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. Her background is in economic development and broadcast communications. Her passion lies in reinventing the waterfront community of Muskegon, Michigan.

Dr. Dave Thornsen is a licensed psychologist practicing in Grand Rapids, MI. His expertise comes from years of providing couples with therapy and toolsets to live, work and grow together.

Dixon's Violin

Visionary Violinist
Leaving his past life in corporate America behind, violinist Dixon considers himself a visionary violinist on a mission to inspire others to pursue their dream. Dixon uses his classical training to improvise on a 5-string electric violin with a looper, creating an all-live one-man symphony.

Dr. Joseph Vettukattil

Pediatric Cardiologist
Born in a remote village, where reality is often augmented with spiritual dimensions, the struggle through extreme poverty, coincidences or divine guidance made a pediatrician in India a cardiologist in the UK. Now as co-director of the Congenital Heart Center at Helen DeVos Children’s hospital, Dr. Vettukattil innovates through advanced 3D imaging to augment reality

Earvean Diggs

Social Work
A survivor of teenage pregnancy and poverty, Earvean is a mother to two boys who she credits for igniting her motivation and providing her strength and determination. She is a social worker for some and a mentor to many. Currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work degree with the plan to give back to the community, Earvean knows she defied the odds. Her story is proof that individuals have the power to create their own destiny.

Glennie Burks

Colonel
With the odds stacked against him as a child, Col. Glennie Burks took the words of his sixth grade teacher to heart. He credits her encouragement for carrying him not only through high school and college graduation, but on to victory in the United States Army. He is the Deputy Assistant Commandant at the US Army Military Police School, and has served as Army commander, battalion S3 and Inspector General. Col. Burks has completed two tours of duty in Iraq.

Jason Kehrer

Designer
With a career that has spanned from Holland, Michigan to Johannesburg, South Africa, Jason has worked in a variety of contexts helping different organizations understand their users and solve complex problems. In his current role he works with a variety of businesses and organizations to help infuse design thinking and human-centered design methods to solve big problems and build effective teams.

I am a long-time resident of Muskegon, a home owner, a college degree holder, an employee, a musician and a person with a disability. I am a real person who can’t see. Believe it or not, I am just like you.

Loretta Bradfield

Melted Crayon Artist
Loretta identifies as the world’s only professional melted crayon artist. Five years ago she started painting with crayons and recently went public with her created techniques at Maker’s Faire in Detroit.

Melissa Brunsting is a Hope College graduate, with a degree in dance. She desires to make dance part of the conversation here in West Michigan; to use dance as an inclusive art for all ages and levels of experience

Rachel Gleason

Poet and Musician
Rachel Gleason is a poet and musician whose poetry is often an interaction between religious symbolism and contemporary observation, woven together with vivid imagery and word play; brought to life through her truly original and engrossing performance style, which combines a sharp but understated humor with a charisma born from her early gospel/evangelical influences. She is also a singer/songwriter with a powerful, unique voice. In addition to working with the youth in high schools through out the state as a member of The Diatribe collective, she also co-hosts The Drunken Retort, a poetry-based open mic event held in Grand Rapids, MI.

Rachel Jamison Webster

Poet
Rachel Jamison Webster is a poet, writer, and Director of Creative Writing at Northwestern University. She is the author of the books, "September" (Northwestern University Press 2013) and "The Endless Unbegun" (Twelve Winters Press 2015), and editor of of two anthologies by urban youth. Webster has received awards from The Academy of American Poets, The Poetry Foundation, and the Poetry Center of Chicago, and her poems and essays have appeared in many anthologies and journals, including "Tin House," "The Paris Review," "Poetry" and "Labor Day: Birth Stories from Today's Best Women Writers" (FSG 2014). Webster grew up in northeastern Ohio and now lives with her daughter, Adele, in Evanston, Illinois

Rob thinks a lot about how people buy and how organizations make purchase decisions. It’s both his job and his hobby. In his 11th year with Haworth, Inc., he is a Sales Facilitator, where he coaches field sales teams in face-to-face selling.

Wes O’Donnell is a Professor of Predictive Analytics at Baker College, a small business owner, the host and executive producer of the upcoming “Our American Legacy” TV series, and the author of RISE: The Veteran’s Field Manual for Starting Your Own Business.
