In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Abhijeet Barse

Shweta Bhattad

Shweta is a young artist based in Nagpur who graduated from the MS University of Baroda with a masters in sculpture and Founder at Gram Art Project. She has participated in multiple National and International Art exchange programmes.

Smita Khan

Architect
Architect Dr. Smita Khan completed her PHD in 2013 in learning environments and building performance assessment. She studied at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, USA for M.Arch (1990) with Architectural Design as major, and was a Rotary International Graduate Scholar. She has worked on evolution of a new architectural language - “Contemporary Vernacular” which synthesizes the vernacular with the contemporary. Her philosophy revolves around a conscious continuum of the traditional not only in terms of spatial order, but also on exploration & application of relevant construction techniques, recycling & reusing materials, applying local & natural materials & rejuvenating the vernacular by introduction of local arts & crafts to achieve an appropriate architectural expression for the region, its culture & its people.
