Aleesha Hanczakowski
Aleesha, 23, is a young local woman who through her personal journey realised her potential and path to environmental sustainability and positive change for a prosperous future. Aleesha is passionate about environmental sustainability and aims to engage and educate youth on how our actions impact the world. Aleesha’s travels and experiences have inspired her to make changes in personal daily life, such as what she consumes, products she uses and an awareness of the effect of her actions.
Conrad Liveris
Conrad, 22, is an advocate, adviser and researcher on the politics and economics of diversity. Focusing on gender and generations, he advises emerging and established organisations on diversity and inclusion. Conrad is the Chair of theatre company The Cutting Room Floor, a Director of GLBTI Rights in Ageing Inc. and founder of Street Smugglers a non-profit organisation, with a vision for a world where homelessness is not the only option.
Josef Bandera
Josef, 17, is young man who works with local government and other key decision-makers to create greater opportunities for people with disability. Born with a rare genetic disorder, Josef has represented the state at the Special Olympics National Games and is the athlete representative for Special Olympics South West. Having grown up with restricted sporting and leadership opportunities, Josef is committed to raising awareness of disability and is determined to ensure others, regardless of difference, do not face the same limiting circumstances.
Keeya-Lee Ayre
Keeya-Lee, 23, is a writer, researcher and consultant who is passionate about humanitarian innovation. She is a founding member of the Global Shapers Community’s Perth Hub and believes strongly in “thinking globally but acting locally”. Keeya-Lee is a Digital Advocate for the World Humanitarian Summit, Co-Founder and Board Vice-Chairperson of micro-granting community organisation Perth SOUP and blogs for the Huffington Post. Keeya-Lee was a 2015 Finalist for Western Australian of the Year in the Youth Category.
Sean Smith
Sean, 19, is a Bunbury local and the City of Bunbury Youth Mayor with a passion for getting actively involved in the community and its growth. He works at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre and is involved in event management, local theatre and art projects. Sean is the Chairperson of the Youth Advisory Council and their most recent project was The Shift Youth Arts Festival for Youth Week 2015 which was youth driven.
