In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexander Merkulov

The director of technopark at Kaliningrad State Technical University, the head of association for innovative enterprises NBICS. Specialist in interdisciplinary projects management and decision support system development for regional and municipal entities. Since 1991 has been working on program development system, has elaborated accounting, banking complexes and system for enterprise managers. The main project for now is situation center integrated for monitoring of the municipal entities of the Russian Federation and managing the regional Ministry of Finance. In his spare time he enjoys spending time at the seaside, playing basketball or beach volleyball with friends.

Andrey Andreev

Graduated from Novgorod State University named after Yaroslav-the-Wise. Worked for large companies specialized in video games development such as AIGRIND, KATAURI INTERACTIVE. Currently works at «1С ONLINE GAMES » as a game designer. Hobbies and interests: computer games, airsoft, 3d modeling, human beings as a species.

Anna Ushakova

Pianist
1998-2002 - student of the piano department of the Kaliningrad Regional Musical College (class of Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation - Ravdin N.P.) During training in Kaliningrad has toured in Hungary and Lithuania. She has performed with the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra. 2002-2007 - student of the piano faculty of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (P.R. Laula) Member of the International Festival "Russian music in the Baltic Sea" (Kaliningrad, 2014) «Internationaal orgelfestival Roermond» (Roermond, 2014) Since 2013 is the soloist of the Kaliningrad Philharmonic. She won two categories: "solo piano" and "Piano Jazz" at the International competition "Fermata"

Artem Oganov

Born in 1975 in Moscow. In 1997 he graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in "crystallography and crystal chemistry." In 1998 he received a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation to study abroad, then the British Government scholarship and enrolled in graduate school at University College London, where in 2002 he defended his thesis, and then stayed there as a postdoc. In 2007 he defended his doctoral thesis in Zurich (Habilitation). In 2011 the Russian edition Forbes included Oganov in the top of ten most successful Russian scientists. Oganov is author of 150 scientific articles and chapters in books (many articles come out in the most prestigious international journals) and 5 patents. The winner of several prestigious scientific awards, including the Latsis Prize, Medal of the Mineralogical European Union, Elsevier's three awards for the most cited work, etc. In 2013, he set up a laboratory in Russia and China.

Artem Yurov

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, vice-rector for scientific work at Baltic Federal University of Immanuel Kant. Scientific interests: theoretical physics, cosmology, integrable systems, field theory, high energy physics. The author of more than 100 scientific publications including those in journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Has 49 publications in leading international magazines. A number of works were published in collaboration with scientists from Spain, USA, Germany, Brazil, UK, India, Poland. His researches were repeatedly supported by international funds and grants, e.g. Miller’s Scholar (USA), Hermann-von-Helmholtz Visiting Professorship (Germany), FIS2005-01181 (Spain), etc. The editor of “Dynamics of Partial Differential Equations” magazine (USA), reviewer of such scientific journals as ‘PhysicsLettersA’, ‘European Physical Journal C’, ‘SIGMA', etc. Honoured Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Egor Zadereev

A Candidate of Biology, Scientific Secretary in Institute of Biophysics SB RAS (Krasnoyarsk), The Head of the Research Field Station (Shira Lake), in 2014 was elected a Vice President of The International Society for Salt Lake Research. Apart from that Egor is engaged in public activities and popularization of science. In 2008-2013 was a member of the Coordinating Council on Youth in the scientific and educational spheres under the President of the Russian Federation. Laureate of all-Russian competitions for conducting popular science. Scientific and professional interests: aquatic ecology, population biology, salt lakes, scientific communication, management of environmental quality.

Evgeniy Avramenko

Organist and Pianist
The organist and pianist. Member of the Association of organists and organ masters of the International Union of Musicians of Russia.He began studying music at 5. In October 2012 he received the title of winner of the 1st prize at the I All-Russian competition (nomination - organ). He is the founder of the largest Russian Internet portal of organ music, author of musical projects, such as "organ presentation", "Kaliningrad – is the organ capital of Russia" (the best project of 2012-2013 in the field of organ music), "The Organ Assembly in Riga"

Illarion Dyakov

Musician
Born in 1981 in Kaliningrad. A graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory named by Rimsky-Korsakov (viola) Head of "Cultural practice", member of the youth organization of the Union of Composers of Russia, leading expert of "Non-verbal service of identity" Today he is one of the most prominent representatives of the Kaliningrad scene in the region and beyond, as a singer-instrumentalist, and organizer of the project.

Marina Ross

Marina is a serial entrepreneur since 2009, experienced in project implimintation in the USA and Russia, MBA. Graduated from the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO in cooperation with MIT Sloan Business School (Boston). A founder of HYDROP brand (hydrophobic self-cleaning nano coatings). A member of Global Shapers community (The World Economic Forum). The initiator and organizer of the charity project «Valenok Dobra», a member of Polar Bear Swimming community, a co-founder and regular writer of SKOLKOVO TIMES periodical, a member of SKOLKOVO Mentors Association. Areas of expertise: project management, marketing, production technologies.

Maxim Patrushev

A Candidate of Biology (molecular biology). The director of Institute of Chemistry and Biology at Baltic Federal University of Immanuel Kant. A steering committee member of technology platform ‘The Medicine of the Future’. Chairman of the scientific and technical board ‘Diagnostic and Therapeutic Systems Based on Molecular and Cell Targets’. A member of the scientific and technical board ‘Proteomics in Medicine’ within the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation. A member of expert council on Biotechnologies within the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Scientific interests: physiology of the higher nervous activity, mitochondrial biogenesis, genome-wide sequencing, proteomics.

Victoria Puzach

She was born in Kaliningrad, graduated from Saint Petersburg State University with a degree in applied computer science and international relations. She has five years of experience in international youth organization AIESEC, including spending a year in the national office in Moscow, where she managed the department of professional international exchanges in 20 Russian cities, improving education with the help of young foreign professionals. In 2014 she was a member of the team People Management ReForum Winning The Hearts.
