Theme: The Examined Life

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Sydney attended The New School of Northern Virginia for many years. She has an interest in the social sciences and the arts and will be attending university in the fall.

Ted Ramsey

Ted is the Resident Artist and Art Department Head at the New School of Northern Virginia in Fairfax, VA. He was a free lance Illustrator for nearly 20 years before becoming part of the New School adventure 24 years ago. Here he discovered he had a talent, not only for Art, but for being able to connect to students and support and nurture students in growing capacity to create their extrodinary expressive selves.
