In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Benjamin Perks

Mr. Benjamin Perks is the UNICEF Representative to Montenegro and United Nations Resident Coordinator a.i. and also occasionally works for United Nations Staff College training on Human Rights Based Approach to Programming. He has served in numerous countries including Afghanistan, India, Georgia and Albania. He holds a Masters Degree in International Conflict Analysis from University of Kent in Canterbury and a Bachelors Degree in Contemporary Studies (History and Politics) from University of Hertfordshire and has recently completed a programme on Leadership and Education Reform at the Graduate School of Education at University of Harvard.

Dragan Adžić

Mr. Adžić is trainer of our National Volleyball team that won silver medal on the Olympic games of 2012. That was huge success for Montenegro, considering that this is country with mere 600.000 people, and that we only have one volleyball team that was trained by Mr. Adžić and managed to make such a great achievement.

Marianne van Twillert-Wennekes

Mrs. Marianne van Twillert-Wennekes was born in the Netherlands. After having completed her tourism study in Brussels, she got a job in Budva and moved to Tito’s Yugoslavia. She has been living in Montenegro for the last 45 years, most of the time in Podgorica, where she has worked as translator/interpreter of German, English and Dutch for many national and international organizations. Marianne participated in the ecological project “Let’s connect the threads” with an exhibition of eco-photography in Cetinje, in September 2012. She was also in charge of the photography for the first Dutch travel guides to Montenegro, Albania and Ohrid/Macedonia, written by her husband Paul Wennekes. Together with Paul, she travels around the Balkans and many other countries by camper, making photos and writing blogs.

Radoje Cerović

Mr. Cerović is psychologist and strategic communication expert. He graduated and earned his Master degree in Psychology at "La Sapienza" University of Rome, and has four years post-graduate specialization in Clinical Hypnosis at the “Roman School of Clinical Hypnosis and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.” He is also co-author of the book “La nuova cultura aziendale” that was published in Milano, 2007.

Shai Cohen

Dr. Cohen is a traveler, thinker, writer and innovator. He travelled across the globe experiencing unimaginable adventures from living with an Indian family in Ecuador to crossing Panama with horses. He wrote different books and many essays. His talk will be about his theory called “Trispectivism” that represents a concept of living and self-awareness, and represents the culmination of his authentic adventures, with the uniqueness that lies in the curious mind and the perpetual desire of knowledge. He also started a project, GRISOSFERA, which is a blogosphere that has the aim of development of Digital Humanities, and since this project started, it have had a large impact in its field.

Staniša Raspopović

Dr. Staniša Raspopović and colleagues at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and Biorobotic Institute Scuole Superiore Sant 'Anna of Pisa, developed the first bionic hand with a sense of touch - they managed to convert electrical signals in nerve impulse that can be interpreted. Fields in which Dr. Raspopović works are neurorehabilitation, neuroprosthesis and robotics: stimulation of the spinal cord and peripheral nerve damage in spinal cord injury; neural control of movement and sensory-motor integration.
