In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

House of Makers

House of Makers is initiated by Matthew Pawlicki, Peter Leung & Sterre van Rossem. They are a dancer, a choreographer and a writer, constantly blurring the lines between their separate fields. Together they curate and initiate artistic events, interdisciplinary performances and installations. House of Makers brings creations through dance, storytelling, film, music and many other mediums to the stage or site-specific locations.

As a Dutch licensed pediatric nurse, Lucia de Berk (Lucia de B.) was specialized in dealing with small children and taking care of babies. She was an employee of the Juliana Children’s Hospital. In 2001 she was the subject of a miscarriage of justice. Accused for murders she didn’t commit, Lucia de Berk was sentenced to life in prison.
