Theme: Finding Your True North

This event occurred on
May 9, 2015
10:15am - 4:00pm IST
(UTC +5.5hrs)
Mumbai, Maharashtra
India

Today, our everyday world has shrunk and with it, our curiosity. Life has taken on definite paths, and we follow them, numb, day after day. As we tread the penciled routes our ancestors made, few crane their neck to seek the North Star for guidance. Many of us have lost the allure of discovering new territory and so we no longer spread out the charts and maps, unroll our sails, and trace a new path over new lands.

Our emphasis is simple: through an array of diverse and intellectual speakers, we hope to highlight the unchartered territory of a person’s life. The word ‘explorers’, comes from the Latin to ‘search’, or ‘to cry out’. We hope that this conference will expand our curiosity and help us search for our own north stars, and our true direction in life. Our speakers are contemporary explorers: they’ve faced life’s offered models, rejected its offerings and created new forms in a space that believed itself saturated. They've each crafted their own North Star and, like those who launched themselves into the once-unimaginable ocean and outer space, they have crossed the unknown to follow it.
