In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Cara Nguyen

Cara is currently a senior at Milpitas High School and is the Lieutenant Governor on the Interact District Council Team, which serves Interact District 5170 in Northern California. She coordinates with over 100 schools in the Bay Area to plan service and leadership events that support communities locally and abroad. Cara is a seventeen year old with a desire to mold the world into a better shape than when she first set foot on it. She has a passion for creating change in her community, whether it be through performing acts of service or cultivating kindness wherever and whenever possible. She's grateful for opportunities to share her message of living a life geared towards making a positive impact.

Lorraine Haataia

Lorraine is passionate about engaging with lifelong learners chasing their dreams. She has earned six college degrees and is an award-winning corporate trainer who has worked in business leadership within various industries such as transportation, technology, and construction. She has been both a participant and leader in countless seminars and conferences. She has traveled to dozens of countries and gained elementary fluency in French, Spanish and Mandarin. She has appeared on television and débuted in a few comedy clubs. She is a writer and blogger, and her articles have been featured in publications and websites in the US and abroad. Morgan Richardson

Morgan Richardson has spent over a decade in the themed entertainment industry. He is currently an Imagineer with Walt Disney Imagineering and has formerly worked with companies like Nickelodeon, Paramount Parks, and Cedar Fair Entertainment. He has designed and worked on attractions and experiences for over a dozen theme parks, museums, zoos, cruise ships, hotels and interactive experiences around the world. Richardson is an accomplished artist - his paintings have been exhibited in galleries and shows on three continents. His work has graced the covers of magazines, rock albums, books, billboards and merchandise. Richardson holds a BA in Photography from San Jose Sate University, and an MFA in Themed Entertainment Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. He has a deep passion for innovation in American education and spent several years as a Bay Area art teacher. He currently holds a position on the Galileo Learning SoCal Board of Advisors.

Paral Bhogal

Paral is currently a junior at Milpitas High School pursuing the immense passions that fulfill her: writing, performing, poetry. There is nothing she loves more than spending time being creative and making good connections with others through art and communication. If the opportunity was given, she would perform to inspire whenever and wherever possible. Academically, she has a great interest in math and science, while being interested in possibly pursuing a career in the medical field. In addition, she enjoys calm, evening walks; hot tea, and blogging. In the future, she hopes to perform nationally and publish books. She is currently working on her manuscript for her first poetry book.

Rory Kramer

Rory is a professional life liver and accomplished videographer. He strives to live each day to the fullest, because he thinks doing it any other way would be a waste. "I want others to look at my life and see how much fun I have and think, 'If he can do all these awesome things then why can't I?'" He takes everyday and lives it like its his last.
