Theme: DESPIERTA

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Theoretical physicist. After studying in Mexico an Wales, he describes new mathematical models to describe the physics of black holes. He is the current director of UNAM Nuclear Sciences Institute.

Vinicius Covas

Brazilian journalist, author of the famous article “100 impressions of México”. Voted as one of the 50 most inspiring Brazilian youngsters by VEJA magazine, (Inspiring Youth, Brazil 2012). Along with other journalists, he developed the project “Qué buena noticia México” (Good news Mexico), focused on spreading the bright side of Mexico.
