Caitlin Paterson

Caitlin Paterson is a 2015 graduate of Beloit College whose studies as a Sociology and Critical Identities Studies major centered on how social environments form, shape and produce identity. She is currently working in a variety of capacities related to sexual assault prevention and response at Beloit College and in the surrounding community including developing programs at Beloit College to specifically increase male engagement in sexual assault prevention.

Cecil Youngblood

Cecil Youngblood - Currently serving as Beloit College Associate Dean of Students for Inclusive Living and Learning, Title IX Coordinator and Director of Intercultural Affairs. Having been a part of the Beloit College community for 19 years served as Men's Head Basketball Coach, Men and Women's Golf coach, Assistant Athletic Director in those first 10 years. Graduate of Augustan College with a BA/BS in Biology. Received masters degree in Educational Administration from John Lewis University.

Debra Majeed

Debra Majeed is a professor of religious studies and chair of the philosophy and religious studies department at Beloit College. She is the first African American woman and the first Muslim to be tenured in the 169-year history of Beloit. She holds a doctorate in religious and theological studies from Northwestern University.

Jan Stanley

Jan Stanley is a coach, consultant, and well-being specialist whose clients include Fortune 500 companies, Silicon Valley start-ups, and the U.S. Army. She is a Beloit, Wis., native and a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Kenneth Andejeski

Kenny Andejeski was a four-year, two-sport Beloit College student-athlete with a sociological lens. Since he graduated in 2012, he has been addressing economic, social, and educational inequality in urban spaces. He spent the last year immersing himself in Detroit’s revitalization through economic development and nonprofit consultation.

Nathan Brault

Nathan Brault is a hip-hop artist and rising educator from Janesville, Wisconsin. A recent Education Youth Studies and Sociology graduate from Beloit College, Nathan began making mixtapes and performing at age 17 using the stage name Troy Nathans. During his third year at Beloit College, he was introduced to the concept of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. Upon realizing that hip-hop was being used as an effective pedagogical lens in educational settings, he sought to participate in those spaces. He has since interned at the Black Box Theater Program at Washburn High School in Minneapolis, written a thesis entitled, "Hip-Hop Pedagogy, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, and the Fifth Element of Hip-Hop: A Synthesis," and continues to write and perform across the midwest. He plans on releasing his first album later this year and he will be directing a hip-hop workshop series with high school youth that focuses on topics surrounding knowledge of self and social justice.

Tom McBride

Tom McBride taught at Beloit College for 42 years. He is co-author of two books and editor of two others. Since the late 1990s he and Ron Nief have been pursuing The Mindset List project, an ongoing study of college students best known for its nationally and internationally prominent annual List.
