The theme of TEDxYouth@HongKong 2014, ‘To Be or Not To Be’ from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, have transcended time and distance to captivate, inspire, and challenge audiences around the world to consider their choices and actions at critical turning points. As Hong Kong continues to grow, face challenges, and transform, the young people of this city will continue to ask this question and produce a diverse range of answers. TEDxYouth@HongKong’s fifth annual conference aims to showcase the breadth of their journeys, discoveries, and innovations on the stage.

Organized by young people, with young people, and for young people, this event connects generations of do-ers, thinkers and innovators from a range of industries and all walks of life in Hong Kong. We build on TED’s core philosophy of sharing ideas and personal stories to ignite passions, inspire dialogue, and empower the next generation.
