Confirmed Speakers

  • Shawn Cornally
Shawn Cornally’s tagline to his blog sums him up well: “Dealing with the fear of being a boring teacher.” Clearly Shawn is successfully combating this fear. Blogging extensively and generating conversations among educators across the world, Shawn brings us some perspective on how the tools of today can be put to work in the classroom.
  • Glifford Pinchot III
Gifford Pinchot III was a founder of the Bainbridge Graduate Institute and when you talk with him you know that he absorbs a lot of ideas about education. Focusing on how to run a business in an ethical and sustainable way, the Bainbridge Graduate Institute challenges the assumed conflict between profits and ethics. As the world changes many of our assumed conflicts in education deserve to be challenged and we’re looking forward to Gifford’s insights.
  • Drs. Fernette and Brock Eide
Drs. Brock and Fernette Eide will be sharing their insights from the world of neuroscience. The Eides wrap technology, education and neuroscience through insightful articles on their blog, paying particular attention to learning and learning differences.
  • Marcus Brotherton
Marcus Brotherton is a writer and a story teller. His profession brings him into contact with a rich variety of thinkers and his research into World War II and the veterans who fought there brings him some perspective on the importance of generational role models. Marcus is sure to inform us on some essential attributes that must remain in the educational system to foster ethics, loyalty and learning.
  • Jeff Sanderson
Jeff Sanderson is the co-founder of Sanderson Ventures and Stopsky’s Delicatessen. After graduating summa cum laude in economics from Princeton University in 1981, Jeff worked as a research assistant at Bain & Company, the large management consultant firm, for 2 years. Jeff is also a founding member of the Eastside Prep community.
  • Dr. Tae
Dr. Tae is a skateboarder, videographer, scientist, and teacher. Contrasting his observations of his own learning while skateboarding with the reality that is the current education system, Dr. Tae provides some insight as to how we might better educate in the future.
