TEDxCrocettaSalon - Travel

"Travel: it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller"
"The real voyage consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes" - Marcel Proust
"Travel: the best way to be lost and found at the same time"
"To travel is to take a journey into yourself"
"A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles"
"I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list"
"All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware"

Orlando Manfredi

Orlando Manfredi is a songwriter – known as Duemanosinistra – actor, playwriter and of late, a green journalist. His album “intimate rock” has obtained extraordinary critical acclaim, being listed as one of the best Italian records of 2011. Since then, he has had many opportunities to perform openings shows as Duemanosinistra for artists such as Afterhours, Perturbazione, Angelo Branduardi, Giorgio Conte, Paola Turci, Paolo Benvegnú, Marco Parente, and Woodpiegeon (CA). In 2012, putting together his skills and talent in order to compose a brand new and different record, Orlando came up with the idea of “from Orlando to Santiago”: an innovative 3.0 project wich aims to go on foot along the entire Camino de Santiago (ESP) composing songs with a small guitar packed in his bag.

Simone was born in 1987 in Rivoli near Turin. He studied classics and soon became passionate about music and arts. After graduation he enrolled at Dams, but he then later decided not to finish his studies; in 2007 he managed a company of car furniture for about a year. In 2008, he sold the company and started travelling to Ireland, England and Scotland, a trip that changed his life completely – up to the point that he now defines himself a nomadic traveller. In 2011, Simon and his friend Roberta Panero set up a three months trip from Turin to Portugal; they managed to do it without spending any money. When in Turin, Simone composes music and volunteers for the Italian Red Cross. He is co-author of the blog
