Dr. Manu Noatay

Dr. Noatay is a histopathologist and molecular pathologist. She currently runs a pan-India population-based cervical cancer screening programme from a laboratory in New Delhi. She believes in a society of mutual inspiration and cooperation between rich and poor, rural and urban – where we are defined not by where we come from but where we are going.

Saroj Thakur

Shimla’s own, Saroj Thakur realised while trekking through the Himalayas that there was elusive wisdom to be found among what we consider ‘common’ folk! She realised that wisdom lies in taking small steps in whatever manner we can using very basic common sense to make the world a better place to live in, leaving behind trails that others may follow. A fellow at IIAS Shimla (2009-2010) , she has been teaching at National Institute of Technology for the past 29 yrs and shares her writings and blogs on topics that matter to her the most from her home in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.

Sunil Rana

Sunil Rana, an artist by passion and profession, has spend most of his life on the Himalayan foothills and is one of the indigenous artist who brought some limelight to the Gaddi Tribe through his folk songs. His integrity lies in the taste of original dialect in his songs. His initial audition to voice out on All India Radio channel, lead him to reach out a larger crowd who recognised his style and the essence of his songs !

Tenzin Nyima

Tenzin Nyima was born and brought up at McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala. She did her schooling from Tibetan Children’s Village School, Upper Dharamsala and continued her studies and did Bachelors degree in English Literature from St.Bedes College, Shimla and topped in her college. She then did Masters in Human Resource Management from Pune University. She actively participated in co-curricular activities viz. cultural(Tibetan dance and Indian semi-classical dance), academic( elocution, debate,quiz, essay and poetry competition etc) and sports which she think is important beside what one does in school and college.
