In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ricardo Ruffo

Specialist in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with extensions in renowned schools like MIT and Berkeley in the United States. Also expert in Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts and Design Thinking by d.school in Germany. As an innovation expert, Ricardo Ruffo is a founding partner of various initiatives. The best known of these is the Design Echos, an organization that aims to create a social transformation in the country through business and innovation, offering consultancy on projects of this magnitude, and processes of learning and education. Ricardo is also co-founder and professor of the Escola Design Thinking, which aims to train the next generation of innovators in Brazil through practice experiences. He is a consultant and speaker on topics like innovation, entrepreneurship, abundance, and social innovation.

Rodolfo Castro

Rodolfo was raised in a big city, but has the spirit of a small country side village. He has studied agronomic engineering and got a certificate in finance. Agrobusiness, friends, economic studies, sports, liberal ideas, writing and reading are only few of his passions. Close to the thirties, Rodolfo has a dream to become a leader of the “agro" sector, as well as writing a book. Not so close for the moment, but nothing that hard work, good ideas, straight values and lots of curiosity could not turn into reality.

Pedro Rezende

Mathematician and professor of the Brasilia Federal University, Pedro has worked for several year for Apple Computer in California when was part of the first hypertext experimentation. Pedro has published more than one hundred articles and essays about digital revolution, free software, security in the digital world, malware evolution and computer paradigms.
