Small, a concept we come across every day in our life in one form or the other. We acknowledge its existence but not always its importance. TEDxHewlettPackardBangalore 2014 intends to showcase the crucial role played by the small in big things that impact our lives every day. The talks will have an objective of empowering our listeners with the unique ideas and achievements of real lives, where contribution of small constituents in big achievements are tremendous.

An Innovation evangelist by profession and a teacher by passion. He has consulted with leading organizations on innovation and creativity. He has also taught at over two dozen engineering and management institutes across the country. Pavan works closely with the Karnataka Knowledge Commission, FICCI, Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce, CII, and European Business Group, among other industry bodies towards shaping their innovation activities.


Founder of PAUL STUDIO, India. He is known for the simplicity with which he beautifully combines latent needs of consumers with appropriate technology to create highly differentiated products to fuel business growth. Paul specializes in Product Innovation through Consumer Insight & Strategy, Creative Engineering, Styling and Colour/Material Trends. He has designed over 100 products in the last 10 years, many of which have become “Iconic Best Sellers”.


A toy designer with her specialization in toys, furniture, children products, learning aids apart from board games. Suhasini is an eminent toy designer and the brain behind many sassy board games for kids. She is the first toy designer in the country to have her name imprinted on the games designed by her, which were launched at the Germany Toy Fair in 2009. Suhasini was honoured by Shri Narendra Modi and NID-NDBI, as a Woman Designprenuer of India in 2005.


A 15 year old research collaboration student with the MIT Media Lab. He calls himself a maker. He loves making things that work and his recent passion is to build technologies which solve real world problems. He has been developing desktop 3D printers for the past 3 years and has taken the technology to colleges all over India and taught students how to make 3D printers - this led to the formation of many different 3D Printer start-ups in India. He is soon to launch his own commercial desktop 3D printer. He loves promoting the maker movement and trying to do so with one of his start-up called Shark Kits which develops low cost DIY kits to expose children to building and playing with technology.


Awarded 2014’s ‘Amazing Indian’ by Times Now, is a US Board certified Pediatric Cardiologist who did her training at Yale University in the US. She was the winner of the ‘Young Clinician Award’ from the American Heart Association and the ‘Best Teacher Award’ at Yale University. She was nominated one of the Top 20 women achievers in medicine in India in 2009. Apart from her medical clinical work she is a medical entrepreneur and helped set up Teleradiology Solutions and Telerad tech. She also cofounded RXDX and RXDX kids - multi speciality acute care clinics in Whitefield. She is active in the social arena in India where she runs 2 trust funds. People4people has put up 145 playgrounds in government schools and Telrad Foundation provides teleradiology services to poor areas in Asia that do not have access to high quality medical reports.
