TEDxSHS was put together almost exclusively by a group of high school students pictured above with the help of faculty advisor and Social Studies teacher Ashley Gayanilo. The theme of the show is ‘Wisps of Smoke’ inspired by the Van Gogh quote which states, “A great fire burns within me, but no one stops to warm themselves at it, and passers-by only see a wisp of smoke.”
The talk is designed as an exhibit of our communities passionate individuals, allowing each speaker to reveal a piece of their inner fire. The attendees have the opportunity not only to listen to these people discuss their passion but also to speak with them one on one later.
