Ashland Women's International Network (AWIN) held a special streaming session of TEDTalks TED Women: To Move the World First Move Yourself on December 6th. TEDWomen 2013 will celebrate invention in all its forms. Not just technology inventions, but also new solutions to poverty; new approaches to leadership; new expressions of art and music; and, at times, the invention of our own lives. Some of the questions we're asking: How does geography impact innovation? How would new technologies shape our lives? Can inventions help us lead longer, better lives? How can meaningful change be imagined, fostered, and scaled? TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED‐like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. Light refreshments provided.
