In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dottie Kluttz

Dottie taught Pediatric Nursing, at UVA, Emory and Armstrong. In 2001, she founded Hospice Savannah’s Storykeeping Program. Dottie is also involved with the “Organizational Story” movement. “We have the gift of Storytelling and I want each of us to know its power.“

Rex Gale

A former Vice President Corporate HR and Managing Consultant, Rex has worked with many of the world’s most successful and admired companies to understand what drives human decisions related to health, wealth and performance, and designs programs that help people achieve optimum levels of health, wealth, and life.

Ugochukwu Francis Okechukwu

Francis Okechukwu is an app developer, researcher, an entrepreneur, and a student of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Southern University. He is researching and creating medical robots controlled by mobile devices and writing a book about iOS development and engineering.

Howell Woltz

Howell Woltz is an author and public speaker, dedicated to returning U.S. judiciary and federal government to Constitution. Recent works include two books, Justice Denied: the United States v. the People, and The Way Back to America: a 10 step plan to restore the United States to constitutional government.

Robyn Richardson

A former high school English teacher and routine musical maven, Robyn is certain that the best things in life are both entertaining and educational. Her life’s mission is to leverage design to create amazing things (stories, objects, music, movies, installations) that magically engage and overtly delight you.

Melanie Florencio

Melanie is a digital media lab instructor, adjunct art professor, and comic illustrator. Currently, she enjoys sharing her artistic knowledge and talents with the Beaufort County, SC community through demonstrations, workshops, and lectures for the public library system as well as adjuncting art classes online for the local colleges.

Jaime McGrath

Jaime is a teacher and gifted specialist at Gould Elementary School in Savannah, GA. He is an author of poetry, plays, fiction, and, most recently, a handbook for new teachers titled Before You Teach. He spoke at TEDxCC in 2012 on design projects in education, and in Napa, CA last year on building moral character through project-based learning.

Eva Bowman

Eva founded BOLD Growth, Inc., a Leadership Coaching firm, and blogs on self-leadership, fearlessness, and resilience at evabowman.com. Boeing, Raytheon, and The City of Hope all endorse her leadership techniques as unique and immediately useful.

Kevin Klinkenberg

For twenty years Kevin has worked as an urban designer, using the various skills of design, planning and zoning to create walkable communities. Since coming to Savannah in 2010 he’s written a book, Why I Walk (available in July) and started Share Savannah, a car sharing company.

Camilla Meshiea Sheehan

Camilla is the founder of CrossFit SAV, and writes a health blog for The South Magazine. She also created idefinemybeauty.org and is looking forward to launching MsFit Culture in 2015, an active wear line for strong, bodacious rebels.

Somara Theodore

Somara is a local T.V. meteorologist. She has recently graduated from Penn State University with a major in Meteorology and Minors in Energy Business, Finance and Mandarin Chinese. Outside of weather, Somara also has a passion for speaking on the beauty of cultural diversity.

Kolby Harrell

Originally from Indiana, Kolby teaches creative writing workshops and serves as Fellowship Community Organizer at Deep - a youth literacy nonprofit. He is also a poet, a spoken word artist, teaches reading and writing enrichment programs, and subs in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System.

Harry Delorme

Harry DeLorme is a curator, educator and visual artist with over 25 years’ experience in museums. As Senior Curator of Education for Telfair Museums, he has developed lectures, film series, festivals, family programs, and an interactive family gallery. He created and curates Telfair’s annual PULSE Art and Technology Festival.

Jody Espina

Jody has pursued a successful career performing, recording and teaching music, including Broadway shows, recording movie sound tracks and as the head of the Jazz Department for The Hoff-Barthelson Music School. In 2000, Espina founded JodyJazz Inc. which has become one of the premier saxophone mouthpiece companies in the world.
