Od prostih alfabeta do tajnih simboličkih jezika, grafički dizajner Saki Mafundikva veliča mnogobrojne oblike pisane komunikacije širom afričkog kontinenta. Ističe istoriju i zaostavštinu oličenu u pisanoj reči i simbolima i podstiče afričke dizajnere da traže novu inspiraciju u ovim grafičkim formama. Sve to sumira u svom omiljenom glifu iz Gane, Sankofi, što znači "vrati se i uzmi" – ili "uči iz prošlosti".
