Dos simples alfabetos às linguagens simbólicas secretas, o "designer" gráfico Saki Mafundikwa celebra as muitas formas de comunicação escrita presentes em todo o continente africano. Ele destaca a história e o legado que estão incorporados nas palavras escritas e nos símbolos e encoraja os "designers" africanos a tirarem partido dessas formas gráficas para uma nova inspiração. Está tudo resumido no seu glifo ganês preferido, "Sankofa", que significa: "Volta e consegue-o" — ou: "Aprende com o passado".
