Dari abjad sederhana sampai bahasa simbol rahasia, disainer grafis Saki Mafundikwa mensyukuri banyaknya bentuk komunikasi tertulis di seluruh Benua Afrika. Dia menggarisbawahi sejarah dan warisan yang terkandung di dalam kata-kata dan simbol itu dan mendorong para perancang Afrika untuk menggambarkan bentuk grafik ini untuk mendapatkan ilham baru. Semua itu terangkum dalam simbol Ghana kesukaannya, Sankofa, yang berarti, "Kembali dan raihlah"... atau "belajar dari masa lalu."
