Shimon Schocken a Noam Nisan vytvorili pre svojich študentov nový učebný plán stavania počítača, kúsok po kúsku. Keď kurz zverejnili na internete – zadarmo sprístupnili nástroje, simulátory, parametre čipov a iných stavebných dielov – boli prekvapení, že sa tisícky ľudí chopilo príležitosti učiť sa, nezávislo pracovať, rovnako tak aj organizovať vlastné hodiny v prvom Obrovskom otvorenom on-line kurze (tzv. MOOC). Shimon vyzýva, aby sme zabudli na známky a začali sa učiť na základe vlastnej motivácie.
