Tyler DeWitt, leraar wetenschappen in een middelbare school, was extatisch over een les over bacteriën (hoe cool!) - en was er kapot van toen zijn leerlingen het vreselijk vonden. Het probleem was het handboek: het was onmogelijk te begrijpen. Hij levert een spetterende oproep naar docenten om jargon en extreme precisie achterwege te laten, en in plaats daarvan wetenschap interessant te maken door middel van verhalen en demonstraties.
