Toen de Jungiaanse psychiater Inge Missmahl Afghanistan bezocht, zag ze de innerlijke wonden van de oorlog - wijdverspreide wanhoop, trauma en depressie. Toch waren er maar twee dozijn psychiaters in dit land met 30 miljoen inwoners. Missmahl spreekt over haar werk waarbij ze het psychosociaal adviessysteem van het land helpt heropbouwen, waarbij ze individuele en misschien nationale genezing promoot.
