Weeshuizen zijn duur en kunnen onherstelbare schade toebrengen, mentaal en fysiek, aan de kinderen onder hun hoede. Waarom zijn ze dan alomtegenwoordig? Georgette Mulheir beschrijft de tragedie van de weeshuizen en dringt erop aan dat we niet meer op weeshuizen vertrouwen maar op alternatieve manieren om kinderen in nood te steunen.
