In Naif Al-Mutawas neuer Comicheft-Reihe "Die 99" bekämpfen die Helden mehr als nur das Verbrechen. Sie zerschlagen Klischees und bekriegen Extremismus. Benannt nach den 99 Namen Allahs, überbringen Al-Mutawas Figuren positive Botschaften des Islam und entwerfen kulturübergreifend einen neuen moralischen Rahmen, um dem Bösem gegenüberzutreten, wobei sie sich dafür sogar mit der Gerechtigkeitsliga zusammenschließen.
