Ve snaze zmapovat mozek se mnoho vědců snažilo o neuvěřitelně zastrašující úkol: zaznamenat činnost každého neuronu. Gero Miesenboeck na to jde opačně -- prostřednictvím ohromujících experimentů, které zkoumají způsob, jak octomilky vnímají světlo, se snaží pomocí manipulace s určitými neurony zjistit, co přesně tyto neurony dělají.
