U Tana Toradži, venčanja i rođenja nisu društvena okupljanja koja povezuju društvo. U ovom delu Indonezije, velike, javne sahrane formiraju centar društvenog života. Anotrpolog Keli Svejzi daje prikaz ove kulture, u kojoj se tela mrtvih rođaka neguju godinama nakon njihove smrti.
