Derek Paravicini se narodil 3 a půl měsíce před termínem, je slepý a trpí těžkým autismem. Ale díky absolutnímu sluchu, vrozenému talentu a spoustě cvičení, se stal uznávaným koncertním pianistou už v deseti letech. Jeho dlouholetý klavírní učitel, Adam Ockelford, vysvětluje jedinečný vztah svého studenta k hudbě, zatímco Paravicini improvizuje na téma skladby "Hůlky", určené původně pro dva prsty.
