I've been a TEDx organizer since 2010. I work to build community with some great groups around creativity in the arts, technology, and economic development. I do this through event planning, online community management, blogging, and social media.
Life has begun to shift quickly since I got married in 2012. My husband is Chinese American, so I'm learning what it means to be part of a multicultural relationship. TED has been really valuable in that way, both personally and professionally.
In 2013, I relocated from New Mexico to Pennsylvania, where I'm now raising a daughter. It's been one adventure after another. Looking forward to what else lies ahead.
Preservation of culture, traveling, the arts, CSA's, grassroots economic development, conscious empathy and a desire to understand those different from ourselves.
Road trips, intercultural understanding, TEDx speaker training.
Singing. Cutting hair. Helping self-defined "non-creatives" find their creative side.
Same as many...I was emailed a TEDTalk about 6 years ago, and I got hooked. Then, in 2009, I moved across the country. I attended a TED-related Meetup event and was introduced me to some like-minded people in the Southwest. Somehow, I got involved in planning our local TEDx event, and the rest is a blur!
