With his deep passion for the future of education, he created Classana, an educational resource discovery engine, in 2012. Lucas is listed in NBC New's 'The Grio' at #2 in the 'Top 10 Blacks In Technology To Watch In 2013'. He is one of the few young minority TEDx organizers in the United States, curating TEDxToledo.

My TED Story

I was introduced to TED through the Steve Jobs Stanford commencement speech several years ago. I've been hooked ever since. I started TEDxToledo, now going into it's second year.

    Mar 6 2013: This was certainly a highlight of TED2013 & TEDActive. I loved seeing a brother who would likely not attend an event like TED on a regular basis first, be there, second, be ON STAGE there, and third, be so passionate about his work that it reverberates across the world. Kudos. And thank you for demystifying the perception of folks in the inner city.
