More About Me

I'm passionate about

Advancing women, girls and communities. Community Building, Startups, Business Development, Equality, Learning, Pushing the Envelope..

An idea worth spreading

I believe Women are Enough and am walking across America to interview courageous women who are leaders in their communities, who are overcoming obstacles, and collaborating to create massive change. The literal definition of women is: plural of woman and ENOUGH is: meeting demands and expectations. The conversation about women feeling and being enough; thin enough, smart enough, sexy enough, strong enough, is a disempowering one when WE are already meeting demands and working together in community. WE are already enough. Women Enough exists to support the self esteem and advancement of women through the transformative power of shared storytelling combined with the resources & support of a fierce collective.

My TED Story

Since viewing TED I've desired to work with the Brand. I'm very passionate about women's issues and equality. I applied for a permit hoping to do a TEDxWomen Event and was declined at the time because TED was not allowing any TEDxWomen events. I asked to understand why and shared my passion for the future of a TEDxWomen event. A month or so later TED contacted me and asked if I'd still like to do a TEDxWomen event. I'm so excited to be planning one of the few and first allowed TEDxWomen events, TEDxFiDiWomen. There are so many women that are thought leaders and have voices and power to be shared and heard. It is my desire to have every woman own her voice and worth and this platform will assist in that goal for women around the globe. Thank you TED! The future of TEDxFiDiWomen?? We want to attend the TED Conference and raise our audience numbers from 100 to 700+.. Imagine a place where women come together to elevate the voices of women.. This is TEDxFiDiWomen..

A comment on Talk: Jane Fonda: Life's third act

Jan 8 2012: I love this talk. Louise Hay mentions similar. We give up on our elders, it seems, and we even stop imagining who we will be when we get to a certain age..

Love that Jane Fonda has moved from her physicality and work out videos to focusing on more important things!! Go Jane!!
