Douglas Carlton Abrams has been in publishing for over two decades. Before founding Idea Architects in 2000, he was a Senior Editor at HarperCollins and prior to that at the University of California Press. He has edited and agented many award-winning and popular books on subjects from personal growth to political commentary. In addition, he served as Vice-President & Editorial Director for JustGive.org, a leading philanthropy website. He is the author of a number of bestselling books, including books with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar, and Taoist Master Mantak Chia that have been translated into more than a dozen languages. He also writes novels, including The Lost Diary of Don Juan, which was a San Francisco Chronicle Bestseller and has been translated into thirty languages. His new novel is an eco-thriller, The Eye of the Whale. He lives with his wife, Rachel, a family physician, and their three children, Jesse, Kayla, and Eliana, in Santa Cruz, California.
