More About Me

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about helping individuals and small business owners navigate their way and prosper through the seismic changes occurring in business and marketing.

An idea worth spreading

Project-Based school curriculums. Make the classroom more like the world of work. Throw out the rows of rote learning and assign students team-based projects that weave in Endglish, History, Math, Communications in a practical manner. Identify early a child's strengths and weaknesses so they may better adapt themselves more practically to a career.

Talk to me about

online marketing, entrepreneurship, starting a business, blogging, social media, education and politics.

People don't know that I'm good at

writing custom comic poems for any event.

My TED Story

I was turned on to TED a few years ago but I honestly can't remember the talk because I have seen so many. When I am feeling down I watch a TED talk. When I am feeling up I watch a TED Talk. I love TED because it reminds you of how many good people are out there fighting the good fight.

A comment on Conversation: Name one thing you've learned from another TEDster.

Sep 14 2011: I learned that the difference between good and great is 10 minutes. Step away from your report/project/analysis and come back to it and check it. You'll find three mistakes that the person you are giving it to would have found.

A comment on Conversation: What does it take to make the youth take charge and feel responsible for their own initiatives?

Sep 14 2011: We are identifying the leaders of local schools for TEDxYouth Irvine and getting them involved early and treating them like adults. This is an aspirational thing for them. A chance to be grown up. I think if you simply guide a little and ask lots of great questions they will start to figure it out and own it. The other thing is its all about good energy and positive vibes. Making it fun and upbeat instead of laborious and overwhelming - which it can be but it's all in how you approach it!
