Greg is founder and Executive Director of Community Without Walls, a non-profit that matches assets to needs in the greater Pasadena area. Its mission is to “envision and enable a model community in the greater Pasadena area.” The organization maintains a database of community assets and needs and functions as a communications link for their real-time sharing and deployment. In the long term, the process will significantly enhance the sharing of community resources to address pervasive and long-standing issues such as the need for a culture of increased civic engagement, lifelong education, improved human relations, economic opportunity and social justice.
Greg co-founded Leadership Pasadena and served as its Executive Director from 1997-2001. He is currently an officer on its board of directors. Leadership Pasadena is a policy level leadership development program that brings together a diverse group of business and community leaders. Program participants work in diverse teams to identify and overcome challenges to combining resources and achieving shared goals. A Graduate Network provides opportunities for cross-sector partnerships to begin and flourish around shared concerns for critical community issues. As Executive Director, Greg oversaw the raising of $500,000 to launch the organization.
Greg designed and delivered the Community Training Partnership as Director of Leadership Programs for L.A. Works. The program developed grass roots leaders to harness scarce community resources for effective community change. While there, Greg also managed four citywide days of volunteer service involving up to 4,000 adults and youth. The event was produced in collaboration with major institutions such as Sony Pictures Entertainment, City of Los Angeles, Home Depot, Los Angeles Unified School District, and American Red Cross.

Living my dream. Reaching my full potential and supporting others to do the same. Modeling the way of living purposefully, and passionately from my vision for the future.
When historians look back in a few hundred years to these days we are living now they will see that the biggest factor impacting our times is not technology but that for the first time-literally-many people have the ability to determine what the want to do with their lives. No longer are we tied to the family farm-so to speak-nor do many (I acknolwegde that all people do not have this freedom) have to work our fingers to the bone for a subsistence living. These words are paraphrased from a quote by management guru Peter Drucker. He continued to say that society is totally unprepared for that situation. Drucker is right. THIS IS THE CHALLENGE AND OPPORTUNITY OF OUR TIME. I take a stand for creating models and methods to guide and support those who care to live their dream. I am on that path myself and enjoy modeling the way for others. I am looking for others on this same path to work with. Call me and let's work together!
Change you have created/are creating in your community or world. Transformation you have gone through/continue to go through. Your Purpose, Vision and Passion. The work of thought leaders you admire.
Creating organizations, structures, workshops and opportunities that change people's lives.
Since I was 17 and in high school I have known I wanted to find something to be passionate about in life. I didn't know how to pursue it and no one was offering advice. Fast forward to 1985 when I discovered volunteer service and leadership development and I knew that was what I was passionate about. I changed industries from for-profit sales into non-profit management and dove in head first. Since then I have been designing and leading and facilitaing transformational exercises and leadership programs and organizations to turn people on to a more fulfilling way of living individually, in teams and in communities. I have led thousands of people in projects to serve their community and to grow from that experience as well. I believe that people are designed to work together and love each other but that somehow society has drifted away from that reality. I enjoy being a leader who has taken a stand to change things back to way they should be.
